![]() $60 for everything in PCars and some expansion DLCs for a bit more down the road. So potentially (average at $15) $90+ for the bulk (but not necessarily all) of R3E content. So 10-$20 per pack (or experience), with roughly 6 packs available and random assorted content on top. In the end, the payments required for R3E vs the cost of PCars means I'll choose PCars every time.ġ000Vrp to 2000Vrp per "experience" in R3E at roughly $1 per 100 Vrp. But, with the imminent release of Project CARS, I see it as having a direct competitor now. So this way you already save $5.įor me R3E kind of sat in its own category for a while. In-game 2,000 vRP would run you about $24. You need to use paypal to purchase, but this is the cheapest way to buy stuff. Lastly, what I would recommend doing is going to their virtual store and buying a pack of vRP to use on buying stuff in-game. There is a code right now to get 25% off DTM 2014 if you want to do that, but it will still run ~$20. The other 2 on Steam (ADAC 2014 and DTM 2014) havent had any sales yet. DTM 2013 has gone on sale on Steam for $7.50 twice now. Maybe an ADAC pack? Definitely buy a pack first, since they mostly come with a bunch of tracks too that you wont have to buy separately. Look into getting some more content that interests you. The tracks look quite nice, and are only behind AC in visuals imo. There is certainly a lot that is good for me to say about this game, and Id be glad to if you want to know some thoughts, but I would say, stick with it. This is by no means accurate and only works for my monitor position most likely. For reference, I settled on 0.8x for the FoV as this seems to match an FoV of ~52 or so in AC which is what I use there. Couple that with not being able to adjust the driver position (AFAIK), and it's not the best. then adjust it again because of course it's not perfect. then load up a race again and see if it's alright. You have to quit out and go through their slow menu system just to change it. Also, you cant actually adjust it in-game. The FoV is also something I think they said they will be looking at properly adjusting since it makes no damn sense as it is now. triple monitors do seem to be not quite perfect yet, as a lot of people report. you can easily spend $5 or more just on skins.Īs for your concerns. Then even worse, you have to buy every livery you want to use. For example a GT3 BMW z4, and then the ADAC 2013 BMW z4, and also the ADAC 2014 BMW z4. Or about 12 bucks US.Ī lot of things about the pricing dont make sense, and are rather annoying. That said, they run weekly specials and the packs of content are a fairly good value. Compare that to the $20 I spent on AC, and you tell me what the better deal is :p For all of the content in the game, you could easily spend ~$150 or more. does make it come out to be a lot more expensive than the whole package for "XX.xx" price. So this let's you buy whatever you do want. I have no problem with this way of doing things, as it is a nice difference from a whole package like AC/rF2/GSCE where it's all included. No subscription bullshit on top of needing to buy everything you want to use. ![]() Free for limited content, and then you buy whatever you want to use. Their pricing model, is probably what iRacing should have been. ![]() Already have about 120 hrs racked up, and I've got to say, after buying some of the content, it can be immensely fun. I've been drawn to this game for the past few months when Im not playing AC. does anyone know what 1x equals, and possibly what each. WTF is 1x Field of View? Why can't this be a numerical representation of degrees like every other racing sim? But seriously. Guess this is related to the fixed aspect ratios required to be selected. it causes the entire image to be shifted left (left edge of menu cut off, right edge is black). $30 isn't a terrible price, but it's annoying to hide it behind this vRP in-game currency. I consider buying the modern DTM package. But I wish it was sold that way, and not as a free2play game. I am limited to select from 2 locations and a selection of cars I don't really care about. ![]() It does give a nice way to view some (currently 7 track/car combo's) of the premium content in the game.īut after playing that and wanting to do a single race against AI, and it quickly brings me back to reality. Decided to give another try with Raceroom Racing Experience after viewing this tweet about hotlap competitions. ![]()
